JR Drake

On the 13th April 2012, exactly 1 year after Paul passed away, his friend and customer, the amazing JR Drake did such a wonderful thing - he renamed his boat after Paul, giving it the nickname "Lord Paul" as he used to be known at the Hard Rock Café Amsterdam.

JR, you are an amazing man and we'll never forget how much you did to help us in the search for Paul. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this beautiful gesture in memory of Paul!

Portrait of Paul by his sister, Sarah
In November 2011, Sarah Nolan Miralles, Paul's sister, drew a beautiful portrait of Paul, that has since become the signature photo on Paul's "In Loving Memory" Facebook page, as well as the cover for the "Amsterdam Man" single, released in April 2012.

We didn't know the hidden artists in the Family, namely Sarah for her beautiful portraits, and David for his songwriting talents!

Glen Hansard with Paul and best friend Ahmed at a concert a couple of years ago
Glen Hansard , the oscar winning singer/songwriter very kindly dedicated a song to Paul during his solo concert in Amsterdam on the 17th September 2011, where he invited Paul's best friend and 'Bro' Ahmed to go.

Paul was a huge fan of Glen's and met him at one of his concerts in Amsterdam a couple of years ago (pictured here). Glen has been an amazingly kind person and wonderful support to our family when we were grieving the most. Thank you so much Glen and continued success with you new album!

On the 12th June 2011, one month after Paul's disappearance, many of Paul's friends and colleagues gathered together by the Deck of the Hard Rock Café and in the Vondel Park in Amsterdam, to light special chinese lanterns in remembrance of Paul.

It was their special way of getting together to share the pain and think of Paul.

RIP Paul, your light will never go out.

In Remembrance (Eleanor Daley)

"Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle morning rain.
And when you wake in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die."

Beautifully sung on at the beach by Emily Cheung, Paul' friend.
